We would like to welcome you to The Bait Shop. We are located on Route 202 and one mile east of Winthrop, Maine. We are across from Cobossee Lake. The Bait Shop has been taking care of the local fisherman for over 8 years. We are open at 5:00 am. till 8:00 p.m., from Sunday through Saturday and on Sunday our hours are 5:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. year round.
We pride ourselves with the knowledge that we carry only the finest and fresh Live Bait for our many customers who we have come to know as our friends. The Bait Shop carries Shiners, Dace, Suckers, Worms, Blood Worms and Crawlers, plus, we have frozen Mackerel and Herring. For the Ice Fisherman during the winter months, our selection of fresh Smelts is well known to all in our area. To keep your Live Bait always fresh, we carry several sizes of live well aerators for your bait bucket or boat wells.
At The Bait Shop, you will also find snacks and ice cold soda that you can enjoy with your afternoon lunch.
Once here, you find that we also have a good selection of fishing tackle in our back room such as rods, reels, sinkers, nylon and monofilerment line that come in several weight sizes designed for your fishing needs. In addition of the basics, we have snap swivels by Eagle Claw and a large selection of trolling spoons, lures by Kennebec Lure, Co., as well as Mooselook Wobblers, Swedish Pimples and Rebel Lures. We haven't forgot about all of the Bass Fishermen in our area, you will find that we are second to none with a large selection to choose from.
